Procedure to file nc

Hello.. I want to file a NC as I'm abandoning my home town without my parent's permission. I'm adult. I have a police inspector who is in my contact but he is posted to the other police station which doesn't fall within my residential area. Can I file my NC there or is it mandatory to file NC in my area police station?
