An old age home, especially if it operates as a charitable trust or a society, needs to be registered with the Charity Commissioner and the Registrar of Societies (or Registrar of Trusts). If it's a registered trust, it would be with the Sub-Registrar of the relevant area. The home also needs to obtain a registration certificate from the Social Welfare & Women Empowerment Department
