hello,

Private Complaint Case is a case initiated by a person in court by way of complaint directly to Magistrate.

It is diffirent than a police case, as normally when you file a complaint with Poilce, the police registers an FIR and the case starts, the same is called a police case as it is initiated by police by filing FIR.

it is registered under section 156(3) read with section 190 and 200 CrPC.
