Power of attorney

Was it necessary in the year 2012 to get the signature of 2 witnesses for POA?
Is the POA invalid if not accepted by the attorney on the document?

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the legal requirements for a Power of Attorney (POA) in 2012, specifically regarding the necessity of two witnesses. It confirms that a POA signed without the required witnesses would be considered invalid. Furthermore, the discussion addresses the invalidity of a POA if the grantor has passed away or cancelled the document.
