Yes, if there is a considerable difference between your salary and his salary. For e.g if you earn around 20 thousand per month and his salary is around 70 thousand. In that case you have to prove cruelty and even if you prove you will get only till u get marry again or max one or two year.

The problem is that  many girls are realizing after running to the court for 2 - 3 years...Also, DONT file  case 498a,DV for settlement unless your husband was cruel and you have very very strong evidence to prove in court because it will not spoil only your life but will spoil your brother/sister life if there are.
