Injunction is only granted in civil cases as a remedy. It is not granted in criminal cases. Most of the civil litigation is for injunction or for declaration or the judgement is pronounced for recovery of possession which was fought for in the case and consequential injunction is given where an authoritative order or rule is passed and it stops the person from doing an action which infringes upon the legal right of another or to do an action which is necessary for the fulfillment of a person's right.
