Please advise me

Respected lawyers! I would like to fix an AC in living room. Is there any chance of legal obligation from my neighbour? I am staying in flats and my living room is located adjacent to their wash area. Pls give ur valuable advise because soon my husband is leaving to UK I.e in one week.l will be very grateful if u give ur valuable advise. Tks in advance.
