Pip intiation timeline by employer

Hi,

When an employer can place any employee in PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) in ITES industry which running in target oriented fashion? Is there any particular timeline an employer have to wait to judge individuals performance to place in PIP? Also is there in clause written for both the question in labour law or shops act? if available please provide.

It is all company policy driven.  Nothing to do with any Labour law or shops act.

Download the policy and relate with PIP sheet (original) signed with employee and past performance of employee, local office, regional office, zonal office, pan India………………..and competitors  in that particular segment , product etc ….

The purpose is hand holding, identify training needs; provide training and support to accelerate performance.

Underlined part is PIP is precursor to Termination. It is time to build irrefutable written record…for use in future at appropriate time in appropriate forum…if the need be.
