Hello sir,
As there is no provision on paternity leave as per Indian Labour Law, for private sector workers. However, The civil servants ( central government) employees are ebtitled to paternity leave.
A male civil servant ( including apprentice, probationer) with less than two surviving children may be granted parental leave for a period of 15 days before or upto 6 monthsfrom date of delivery of child.
Parental leave normally cannot be refused under any circumstances as prescribed under Central Civil Services (leave) Rules 1972.
