Passport after conviction

I was convicted by court for drink and drive case and fined 5000 Rs. There was no prison sentence. This happened 4 years back. Now I want to apply for passport. Can it create problem with police verification. Regards

Yes, it'll..... Conviction can be any form. it can be jail and fine or only fine .
