The Jammu and Kashmir State Partnership Act, 1996

An Act to clarify the law governing partnerships.While it is necessary to specify the law governing partnerships, His Highness the Maharaja Bahadur gave his consent on the 26th of June, 1939/12th of Haran, 1996, and it was published in the Government Gazette on the 26th of Sawan, 1996.

Unless there is something repugnant in the subject or context in this Act. -

(a) Any act or omission by all of the partners, or by any partner or agent of the firm, that gives birth to a claim enforceable by or against the partnership is referred to as a "act of a firm."

(b) If you want to be more formal "Every trade, occupation, and profession is included in the term "business."

(c) "prescribed" means "prescribed" under this Act's rules;

(d) If you're looking for a unique way "Any person who is not a partner in the firm is referred to as a third party in relation to the firm or a partner therein.

(e) expressions used but not specified in this Act but defined in the Contract Act 1977 have the same meaning as in that Act.
