Partition among brothers & Sisters of HUF Family

Facts:

We are 3 brothers and 3 sisters living in Karnataka. My father died intestate in Karnataka in 1976. My father along with his 3 brothers acquired the property (joint family) in Karnataka and through a mutal court decree, separated in 1976. My father got his 1/4th of this property.

As my father died intestate in 1976 and mother died in 1984, there was/is no partition among the legal heirs after my parents death. We are 3 brothers and 3 sisters who are all born before 1956 and happily married. I have the following questions:

   - The property (share) that came to my father after partition, is it now classified as (1) Self-acquired or (2) Co-parcenery ? Detailed explanation is appreciated.

  - Do my sisters get equal shares as we brothers?

Thanks in advance.
