Orginal documents are lost. can i purchase?

Orginal documents are lost. All the legal hires agree to sale the property to me. I have submitted an affidavit for loss of document and duplicate copy.

Note: the property belongs to my grandfather and my father is one of the legal hire.

Can I purchase the property or not?

Quick Summary
If the original property documents have been lost, but all legal heirs agree to the sale, you may still be able to purchase the property. You'll need to submit an affidavit for the loss and obtain a duplicate copy. It's advisable to file a police complaint to get a Non-Traceable Certificate (NTC), which can help in obtaining certified copies from the registrar. Consulting a local lawyer to check for encumbrances and ensure a clear title is a crucial final step before proceeding with the purchase.

Ask the seller to get Non traceable Certificate from the police department. based on the NTC they can obtain the certified copy from the concerned registered office . It treated as original .documents. Submit all documents to local lawyer and trance if any encumbrances. Once the title is clear then you can purchases the same
