Offer letter

Can candidate deny to join us after accepting the offer while furnishing fake situation. He kept chatting us with after date of joining but now we come to know , that he joined somewhere else. Please advise as being hr I am fed up with such candidates

Unless there is a clause in the Contract, imposing a penalty, regretfully but you are helpless and any coercion to make a person would amount to slavery of a form.The same is also provided in Specific Relief Act. However, I did advise that from next time onwards get a clause in the contract wherein you impose pecuniary penalty for people declining offer after acceptance.

Also you would make a fair case if you sue for breach of Contrcat and claim damages.
