Dear sir,
I Relates with Qureshi cast but we do not have butcher or meat business. I want to know that, Am I eligible to get OBC certificate. My point is that all qureshi's are not meat sellers some of them have their ancestors background. and Supreme court of India Said earlier that cast determined on the basis of birth not on religion, surname or marriage.
on the other hand there is only mentioned qureshi not muslim butchers. Butchers are called qassab that is mentioned separate in list.
Could I apply on this basis? If tehsildar rejects my application then could I approach court?
