NRI wants to Change their religion

My husband is a Muslim and he would like to change his Religon to Christianity. We live in the Middle East and wish to change his religion to mine. How do we go about doing so officially thru the indian government?

Does he need to take an approval of the senior members of his family or other relatives? Since he is an adult of sound mind and judgement, could family or relatives opose of this and can a problem be created?

Would appreciate your advice on this.

Since no one has answered you, i will give it a try.

In a secular country, it does not matter what religion one follows or changes. One can go to any relgious office/temple/church/mosque/guradwara and follow the procedure (of change). The laws of succession/inheritance in India will then apply according to the religion a couple/husband professes  (only goa has universal civil code) .

Advice for u-google "apostasy in an islamic country".
