Notary lease validation

is there any way to get a notary instrument registered when the lessor has passed away? the lease deed was for 99 years but got to know that lease documents need to be registered when they are made for more than an year.is there any method to make it valid by paying the stamp duty and penalty,if there any?

please help

IT DEPENDS ON THE LEGAL HEIRS AND THE LESEE. IN CASE OF DISPUTE FILE A CIVIL SUIT.IN CIVIL COURT.

A lease beyond one year is to be complusarily registrable.  But it can be taken as evidence provided penalty is paid.
