Notary attested copies

What is the position of a true copy attested by a notary for use in criminal proceedings when the original is lost?

R/ SIR,

Please tell me full detail of criminal case & where you want to use the document use.Originally we prove the lost document through secondary evidence. 1^st we lodge DDR in the police station. Then we give application in the court to grant the permission for secondary evidence.
