First of all I am not sure, Is this right place to post this Question.
I want to ask,
As from 1st Jan New Format Check are going to be used by all Banks.
In this case what will be the status for Old Checks.
Will Check bounce case will be applicable on Old Checks?

Since the old Cheques would not be accepted by the Banks resulting those would be a waste paper and it would not be covered under Negotiable Instrument and the provisions of Section 138 N.I. Act would not apply in that case.

But I am unaware of Section138.
But I can predict. You Mean to say.
As Check Bounce is called as criminal Case.
Criminal case will not be applicable on old Checks from 1st Jan.

Yes, the criminal cases will not be maintainable on the old pattern cheques from Jan-14 onwards.
