New criminal laws july 1

For an FIR filed ( here 498A ) prior to July 1, 2024, will the new criminal laws (BNS...) be applicable, or the old IPC/CRPC ? Please suggest.

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses the crucial question of whether the new criminal laws, such as the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), will apply to FIRs filed before July 1, 2024, or if the old IPC/CRPC will remain in effect. While some suggest waiting for further developments and clarification, others point out that the Centre has put certain subsections on hold. The core of the concern seems to be understanding the transitional provisions and the effective date of these significant legal changes.

What are the facts? What is the context?

Why you are concerned of the law than the facts?
