Though there cannot be any profit motive to the State in running the judiciary, the huge expenses has  to be met. The court fees has to be raised gradually every year to meet out this expenses. When compared to other countries the court fee in India is very low.

Dear Tasnim S Rasiwala,

Kindly consider the following :

For

Against

Rise in Court Fee means more revenue for the state

Justice being a fundamental right should not be a matter of monetary consideration i.e. subject to increase in court fee

Number of litigation will decrease on account of affordability

Monetary consideration should not be made criteria (increase in cost of litigation) to approach courts

For the purposes of investing into the Legal Infrastructure the Rise in Court fee is justified

It is the paramount duty of the state to provide to its citizens the quality of life for which reason the citizens should not be made to pay (including by way of increase in court fee)
