Need clarification

My friend got her passport 3 years ago. While applying, ahead has added her boyfriends name under spouse field. They are not married and have broke up 1 year ago. Her parents are arranging for marriage. She needs to know how to remove the boy friend name in the passports spouse field.

To change the status in the passport, you have to apply for a "Re-issue" of passport and get the specified change done in the personal particulars.There is no ther way to remove the name of spouse from passsport

You will require Form No. 2 for miscellaneous service while trying to have the name of your spouse removed from your passport. You can easily obtain this form offline at several Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) or online. Fill the form.
