Name correction of daughter

My friend got divorce in January 2018 and got daughter 's custody. But in the order there is a spelling mistake in daughter's name. Please advice how can I correct the same

THE POWER MAY BE EXERCISED BY THE COURT EITHER ON ITS OWN MOTION OR ON THE APPLICATION OF ANY OF THE PARTIES.

Your friend need to file an application u/s 152 of the Code of Civil Procedure , 1908 in the same Court for making necessary amendment relating to correction of spelling of daughter name in the judgment/order/decree.

First of all you didnt told what kind of document it is like it is birth certificate, medical certificate or educational certificate so dont know exactly but may be this blog may help you
