Muslim marriage alimony

Page no : 2

syed (Branch incharge)     03 June 2011

Dear All,

Iam not an expert, still i have some knowledge on this issue

If women prefer khula then that women has to return - Mehar - which she recieved by husband, If require she may offer more as gift  to husband as per her financial condition.

After Kula its not husbands responsibility to take care of her or provide maintenance .

Even in talaq - husband must provide IDDAT period amount as per his financial conditions ( even he can include a gift to the women apart form Mehar) after then its not husbands responsiblity to provide maintenance to Ex-wife as he already paid Mehar - IDDAT period amount and a gift on final settlement.

If they have children then they must decide about childrens future before they complete any above process.
