My husband died after 1 year of my marriage.
he had 2 vacant land and 2 houses on his name
now my in-laws are telling that he has owed money to his friends
and telling it is joint property not separated

As per Msulim Persosnal Law, you are entitled for the fourth part of the property whatever comes in the share of your husband,However if the property is not ancestral but self acquiered and if there is no will then you have the right to half of such proeprty in absence of childern
