motor accident claim appeal against minimum injury

hi all,
i am asking a query tht is there any case, citation, matter where victim has minor injuries and tribunal awarded him a very little amount of compensation below 10,000 rs and apex court still increased the compensation amount..plz share any thing regarding inhancement of such small amount.

Quick Summary
This discussion explores the possibility of appealing a motor accident claim where the victim received a low compensation amount for minor injuries, specifically below ₹10,000. While Section 173 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, generally allows appeals to the High Court, it stipulates that no appeal can be filed if the disputed amount is less than ₹10,000. However, participants suggest that appealing for enhancement of compensation is still a viable option before the concerned High Court.

Hi,

Under Section 173 in The Motor Vehicles Act, 1988

Any person aggrieved by an award of a Claims Tribunal may, within ninety days from the date of the award, prefer an appeal to the High Court, however, no appeal shall lie against any award of a Claims Tribunal if the amount in dispute in the appeal is less than ten thousand rupees.

I hope this answers your question.

Have a good day!

You must prefer an Appeal for enhacement of the Compensation amount before the Concerned High Court.
