Mothers sir name in childs name

I have a question Can mothers sirname be legally inculded in childs name on birth?

yes ,mothers name can be surnamed in the name of child as provided in hindu minor and guardianship act and and guardian and wardship act

thx for the reply Anish,what i meant was if the mothers sir name can be included.like if girlas name is parneet shergill and she gets married to a sharma.can child name be name then shergill and then sharma

i have seen some judgement somewhere wherein only the father's surname can be used by a child. the case was in HC or SC. The grandparents of the child changed the surname of the child to their surname and the court struck it down and put the father's surname to the child
