Meaning of Adoption Act under Section 9

One unique thing that I observed in my RCR case is that my lawyer have used Hindu Adoption Act under Section 9? Can anyone please explain if its different than Hindu Marriage Act for restitution of marriage

The petition for RCR has to be filed under section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act,1955 in case of Hindu marriage. If your lawyer has put the Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act,1955 in place of the Hindu Marriage Act,1955 than tell him to amend it as this can be typographic mistake on his part.

Thanks a lot Vijay for Clarification. Well, In my case I am ready to pay maintenance. And relation is so spoiled that I cant say anymore with my wife But Can take good care of my baby girl whole life myself. Maybe this could be the reason of filing Adoption act? Does that have any significant impact on the maintenance and DV cases filedd by opposite side late? Best Regards,
