MAY NOTARY PUBLIC ATTEST COMPLAINT

SIR CAN A NOTARY PUBLIC ATTEST A COMPLAINT U/S 138 N.I ACT OR ONLY OATH COMMISSIONER IS COMPETENT FOR SAME ?

If it is an affidavit then the notary can attest the same, if it is just a complaint to be filed before court then there is no necessity for an attestation by a notry public or a commissioer of oaths.

Both a valid for the purpose of filing complaint in lower court.

Notory for Non-judicial work . Oath commissioner for submitting documents for judicial work. In your case oath commissioner will work.

Complaint u/s 138 NI Act, 1881 is not required to be attested.

Supporting affidavit to the above complaint has to be attested by Oath Commissioner, however, it may be attested by a Notary Public as well.
