maximum prisonment if not pay IM

Dear all, Please update me how long prisonment is given if not pay intrim maintenance in one time. as I am not paying such amount since 1.5 years. And I have been ordered for recovery in DV case. waiting for soon answer.

Hi Victim and Jobless :)

Going by rule book of Crpc 125, the imprisonment may go upto 1 month or until payment is made whichever is sooner made. Well you have some breathers like pay some immediately and avoid warrants/FLW/Attachments ... ...Again don't be a dumbhead and appear before the judge without your counsel or pennyless or jobless !!!.....you will be surely packed to JC like it happened ...........
