Mr. Jeevesh,

Any two person (irrespective of their religion) can marry under the special marriage act, 1954.

Conditions for marriage.

1. Neither party should have a husband or wife living

2. Neither party is an idiot or a lunatic,

3. the bridegroom must have completed the age of 21 and the bride the age of 18 yrs.

4. the parties are not within the degree of prohibited relationship which are enumerated in the first schedule of the act,

5.where the marriage is solemnised outside the territories to which the act aplies, both parties should be citizens of and domiciled within the territories to which the act applies.
