Married women's property

Hi friends,

As per law, the Married women is having the property rights on her husband's property as well from Maternal side.  However, as understood,  lady/women got married on or before 1985 does not have any rights on the materal property?? or can you please advice from which effective year, the married women got the rights under the ancestral and maternal property as it means, a lady getting married prior to the said period, are not entitle to demand rights under maternal property??

pl advice/clarify.

There is no relevance of period of marriage of such women rather it is to be seen when her father/predecessor-in-interest from her maternal side expired. if he expired after 2005 then definitely she is entitled to inherit equal share and if prior to that then she is entitled only for right of maintenaance.

During the life of the suband wife canot claim any share in his porpetirs    But thru., her  sons/daughter scan claim their share in the ancestral property.
