Marriage registration

Dear All,

My question is pertaining to marriage registration.

I have been residing in a PG in Mumbai from last 2 years and got marriage 9 months back in Himachal.

I don't have any address proof of either Mumbai or Himachal.

There is a letter issued by Gram Panchayat which says that my name has been removed from ration card post my marriage. (It confirms my DOB, Date of marriage, address etc.) and the ration card has been submitted to gram panchyat which had my name.

In this case, what is the address proof that I can submit for my marriage registration?

I have passport which has my Pune address where I don't reside anymore. Can that be used as an address proof?

regards,

Richa

Hi Richa,

I believe your Pune address can be used.  You just don't have to tell them that you're not residing at your Pune address anymore, they just need proof, and you're submitting a proof which holds a lot credibility.
