Marriage registration

Hi ,

I am and my wife are Hindus and we got married per the Special marriage act in front of a marriage officer in Feb-2010 and my parents. And Conventional marriage ceremony was held in May-2010. The ceremony was held to ensure my distant relatives and young cousins located in various states and countries and could come for the marriage. There was no additonal registration in local municipality or Panchayat done at that time as we are already married from Feb-2010.

Are there any legal implication due to this ans is it illegal per Special marriage act or Hindu Marriage act.

rgds, V Krishnan

Marriage once solemnized, can be solemnized nnumber of times again. The validity of marriage will be from the first day of marriage. Gagandeep Goel Advocate
