Recently one of my friends was so dejected & frustrated after his marriage broke up, that one fine morning while morning walking he approached an unknown girl to whom he got attracted to & verbally told her that he liked her & want to marry her. Does this comprise s*xual harassment or any kind of offense or crime under indian penal code(IPC)? My friend has neither touched the girl nor used any abusive language, only offered to marry her decently i.e in decent manner. But the girl got angry & took photo of him & circulated in whatsapp group. And later he is getting threats from local party office men & and promoter interested in taking his property to make a building there. What should this guy ( i.e. my friend) do in such case?
