A valid nikah cannot be performed between a muslim boy and a hindu girl.

The scenarion is the marriage of a catholic girl and a hindu boy. Which marriage act would be applicable while registering their marriage? On religious ceremonies, the hindu traditions would be performed.

Also, if the girl does not change her religion post marriage, what are the constraints on the religion of the children in future?

Such marriage can be validly solomnized under the special marriage act.

 Rights of Hindu girl in case of:

A hindu girl and a muslim boy have got marreied and the marriage is registered under Special Marriages Act at New Delhi

Now to please the boy's family; the boy wants to conduct Nikah as per muslim customs

After Nikah has been performed, in case of any dispute arising in future , which marriage will be considered valid- marriage performed under Special Marriage Act OR Nikah.

Kindly advise as the advise is being seeked from girl's side.
