Marking of Computer Bank Account Copy

May I know under what provision of law, a computer copy of statement of account issued by Bank can be marked

Quick Summary
A plain computerised copy of a bank account statement cannot be directly marked as an exhibit in court. To be admissible, particularly in criminal cases, it must be officially stamped and signed by the bank. This certification confirms its authenticity under the Evidence Act. You can obtain such a certified copy from your bank, potentially for a fee.

1. Plain Computerized copy of Bank Account Statement CANNOT be marked as Exhibit. This should be rubber stamped & signed by the Bank, to enable it to be marked as Exhibit, under the provision of the Evidence Act, more so specifcially in Criminal cases.

You can ask your bank for such certification or can obtain a duplicate copy of the statement by paying the prescribed fee.
