Manager (karta) of huf

HUF consists of Widow mother, Adult Son, and 2 Adult daughters was there. Son was Karta.

Recently Son (Karta) died, leaving his wife and only daughter. Widow mother still alive, other daughters of Widow mother (or sisters of expired Karta) too have only daughters.

Thus in entire HUF only female members left.

Who will be Karta by default?

A female member can become karta of HUF so mother can become karta pig HUF.

Advocate Dr Vashista / Advocate Bhartesh goyal,

But surprisingly Daughter in law has become Karta, without any consent from any other members of the HUF!!!

She submitted Death Certificate of her husband who was Karta before, to Sub Registrar Office and got herself as Karta from Sub Registrar office, without others consent!!
How can Sub Registrar do this?

The senior member of the HUF being the widow of the original deceased Karta should be nominated in the absence of male member.

If she has any objection towards appointment of her widow daughter in law as karta she can file a suit to declare this as invalid and appoint her as karta.
