maintenance

whether a major son can claim maintenance from his father or atleast for educational expenses. plz give me citations

The obligation of a parent to maintain his son ceases on the son's attainment of majority, according to Bhupati vs. Basanta, 1936 Cal.556.

 

Further, a major son is not a dependant u/s 21 of Hindu Adoption and Maintainence Act.

 

Thus, a major is not entitled
