Hello Experts,
For my information I'm asking this question.
What I know is as per law Police officer can't even
slap citizen of Indian.
But still we hear number of cases of police torture,
third degree punishment.
Please let me know what all loop holes in system
will help them to do so..Although, now a days lot of human
rights department having close eye on "the law enforcement
system".

the power of arrest is grossly abused and clearly violates the personal liberty of the people, as enshrined under Article 21 of the Constitution, then the courts need to take serious notice of it. Citizens must bring this notice through media.

Its been happening right from the dawn of the human history. Though there are very strict laws governing the conditions, the law breakers have scant respect of law hence they break them. nothing can be done about this.
