With due respect, A case was registered against my friend and IO opened the LOC in 2009 later, my friend took anticipatory bail and also joined the inquiry as per court instructions. Now challenge is also in court. My question is that what is the procedure to delete LOC will the police delete it because the purpose of LOC is not any more now or is there any procedure is there to get it deleted. Please help me

Loc means look out circle which is done to nab criminala at immigration check points who r trying to escape the country, as per my knowledge u have to approach police to cancel it out or if ur fir is quashed then its ok , but till ur case is quash3d I dont think ur loc would be cancelled , ask others experts to guide u in this too
