I have a house in joint name of mine and my husband. My husband expired 5 months back. I am told that to get the property on my name, i require a legal heir certificate. Doesn't it get transferred to the joint holder without the certificate. What is the process to get the certificate and how long will it take to obtain the heir certificate.
