Leave rule

SIR/MADOM,  Iam working in BSNL for the past 12 years. In my career i have not taken any leave continuously for more than 2 weeks. But now iam in need of a leave of 1 month (earned leave) and i am denied  leave by the higher authority. The same authority has given leave of 45 days to another officer recently. What should i do? If i take leave without permission can they take any other action than cutting my salary for the period?Kindly give an answer.

If you proceed not to attend office ( i.e you claim to be on leave without approval) disciplinary action can be initiated that may so much so that loosing lien on employment.

Don't proceed on leave without approval.

Leave can not be claimed as a matter of right.

EL: advance approval is required.

Has the authority declined leave (EL) in writing? If yes look into rules to add such declined in leave  C/F account. If NO obtain declinature in writing.

If you have some exigency state so in writing and persue for approval.

Understand the leave rules for your designation thoroughly and do not act on impulse.

Seek help from some experienced colleague and your union leaders.

Build rapport with authority so that like others you are also granted leave.
