There's no law making it mandatory to have the call recordings facility in mobile phone. 

The automatic call recording will be an authentic evidence in case of legal disputes.

Good question...what is the context for this query.

I read somewhere that in some countries like USA there's One party consent law when it comes to call recording in phones. So it's legal to record a call if any one of the parties is aware that call is being recorded.

Google dialer in many phones sold worldwide have a mandatory announcement that this call is being recorded and it's a legal requirement in those countries.

What about India, what laws prevail here when it comes to call recording in phone?

I am not asking if it's mandatory to put it in phone! What I am asking is - is it mandatory to make an announcement to other party(ies) in India that call is being recorded?

I hope the context is clear! English is not my first language, so there might have been inadvertant errors in my original post!
