Law for mothers ancestral property

hi,
My mother have property on her name which belongs to my Grand Father. Its a ancestral property which my grand father got through partition with his siblings. My grand father did not leave a will or done any kind of settlement to my mother. After my grand father's death. my mother inherited the property since she was the only legal heir. Including me, my mother have 2 daughters and a son. Son expired, and his wife is alive and no children.

My question is, can my mother sell or settle this ancestral property as she like ? or all 2 daughters and 1 daughter in law  has equal share in this property ?

Kindly help me with your advice.

Hi
Kindly confirm whether the date of expiry of your Maternal Grandfather was after 9th September 2005?
Also mention the State where your family resides.
