Late possession

Hi,

Can we approach consumer court even if possession is delayed by 5-6 months or there is any minimum delay(like 1 year) for approaching consumer court. For 5-6 months delay, will they hear my plea?

I want to demand for my house rent that I have paid extra due to delay in possession.

You can approach the consumer court for the delay but for 5 or 6 months delay court procedure itself will take substantial tym .

rather it wud b ideal to send developer a legal notice for demand of extra rent due to delay in giving possesion
