My flat owner is asking again and again to pay for the last month's rent. Where as he already have security deposit that is twice of rent.
I have asked him to adjust my rent with security deposit but he is insisting for the rent and is asking to pay for the flat's repair charges. The damage wasn't done by us.
Since i am vacating before 11 months so he is insisting me to pay rent and has intention of cutting charges incurred to him. What should I do and can he really insist me for that?
In the rent agreement, he is allowed to keep the security deposit if i don't inform him before a month. But I already did inform him before a month. This case is of indore MP.

You have to pay the monthly rent. Security deposit is refundable which owner has to pay you as per terms of the agreement.
