Land transfer

I would like to  calrify my querry.

My brorher in law owns a agricultural land. 

Can he gift this land  to me . I  have a OCI status.

No, the NRI/OCI/Foreign citizen cannot acquire agriculutural proeprty in India either by sale deed or by gift deed, however there is no restriction for them to inheruit the agricultural property if they have inheritance rights as a successor in interst or legal heir.
