Karnataka Govt just notified minimum wages for select categories. Club engages need baded employees for 6 hours slot only.
My reading is that Club regularly engages such employees from common pool ,though on need base for 6 hrs, it should pay Minimum Daily Wages in full. Not proportionately as notification does not mention about a proportionately aligned wage.
Your view please.

Query is whether the employer can on it's own, work out proportionate payment for engagement about 6 hrs, where the notification ( since challenged by Karnataka Employers Association in High Court) is silent over such an application. Earlier rule also mentioned that engagement above 4 hrs should carry full day rate. Please guide. Regards,
