Jurisdiction u/sec. 125 cr.p.c.

My wife and I are residents of same city Yamuna Nagar before marriage and after marriage in Haryana. Due to some dispute now she is residing at her parental house which is in the Yamuna Nagar in Haryana and going to file petition U/Sec. 125 Cr.P.C. But the point is that now she and her parents are planning to relocate in Punjab. Can she file petition U/sec. 125 Cr.P.C. from Punjab when the marriage is done in Haryana and her parental house is also in Yamuna Nagar (Haryana). Only because of they have better links in Punjab, to harass me she is planning to file petition from Punjab. Punjab Court has jurisdiction or not.

If your wife is residing there she can file at Punjab.

But if they don't have any residential proof of Punjab like ration card etc. then also she can file petition from Punjab?
